New bull market, new name.

Center.app is now 3.is and we're excited to share this new name with the world.

The Story Behind the Name

Sometimes you have to pick the best option and move forward, and that's how we picked the name Center when we started the company in 2021. Our plan was to go for center.com, but like many startups, we found ourselves with center.app instead—a perfectly respectable domain that served us well as we built our blockchain indexing platform.

But as we've grown and our vision has crystallized, we realized something: we needed a name that matched the energy and innovation of what we're building. Enter 3.is.

Why 3.is?

3.is is objectively more 1337 than center.app. It's shorter, fewer characters than x.com, and:

  • Three represents foundation. In mathematics, three is the smallest number required to create a stable structure. In our world of blockchain infrastructure, we're building the foundational layer that everything else stands on.

  • Three represents progression. Web1 was static pages. Web2 brought interactivity. Web3 is bringing ownership back to users. We're here for that third act.

  • The .is domain speaks to identity. It's not just "what we do"—it's "who we are." We are the infrastructure that makes blockchain data accessible. We are the bridge between complex on-chain activity and meaningful insights.

We're the same team, building the same rock-solid infrastructure you've come to trust. But now we have a name that matches our ambition and, let's face it, makes us grin every time we type it.

If you're already using our platform, nothing changes except our URL. All your existing integrations will continue to work seamlessly—we're handling the transition carefully to ensure zero disruption to your applications.
